Photos from our pre-nuptial photo shoot

Hi all!

Before we start sharing with you the photos from our wedding and honeymoon, we wanted to first share with you some of the photos from our pre-nuptial photo shoot which we mentioned in an earlier blog entry. Our thanks to our brother in community, Danny Dy, for coming out to Ateneo de Manila University on a rainy afternoon last September 2007 to capture some of these moments with us.

(For those of you on Multiply, the full set of photos is available in this album: http://leonidessaguisagjr.multiply.com/photos/album/2/Pre-nuptial_Photo_Shoot.)

Happy 2008!

Hi all!

Just wanted to take a few moments to greet everyone Happy New Year as we enter the year 2008. Mitzi and I are currently in Manila, spending time with my side of the family for New Year.

Stay posted for pictures from our wedding, our honeymoon and our Christmas holidays back in Bacolod. I promise, we will start posting them soon. :-P

Ilang tulog na lang :)

Well, the wedding is right around the corner. I've decided not to stress myself out over details that are beyond my control. Tomorrow I finally get to fit my dress -- but its just the basic portion, mind you. I don't think the overlay is done yet. I'm claiming it will be done in time -- my gown, and the gowns of three members of my entourage. :)

Junby's barong is done and is hanging in my closet right now. We went shopping for new shoes for him earlier this evening and have paid the balance for the hair and make-up services. We also picked up the unity candles and the free maps of Bacolod from a brother from community, Carl. He was gracious enough to run some errands for us yesterday while Junby and I were tied to our work. Him, working remotely to the US and moi, trying to finish the power point presentation needed by Mindanao by Saturday.

Several things remain on our checklist but at least they get ticked off slowly. Well gotta go now and work on the missalette so that I can have Fr. Sean, our priest for the wedding, proofread it before I have it mass produced :) Again, thank you for all your prayers. Please keep it up as we approach the last leg of this wedding preparations. ciao!

Two weeks na lang ?!?

Well, we've finally hit December. I believe the next two weeks will be quite hectic. How am I supposed to get my beauty rest? :-o Seriously though, Junby being here has been a huge help. Now errands can be done swiftly (since he's become my faithful driver)and he has been gracious about being asked to drive to and fro.

We've sent the dresses for the entourage members who live out of town sometime last week. So far only the flower girls' dresses need minor alterations. We've also paid the balance for two of our vendors (flowers and cake). We both would rather have these things settled sooner than later (less details on our mind come the wedding day). :)

Tomorrow, we're meeting with most of our vendors to do a 'walk-through' like what we do in CYA. Since we have no professional wedding coordinator, we decided to have this meeting so that everyone will be on the same page and at the same time well-informed, enough to make sound judgments if things don't go according to schedule. Other details that still need ironing out -- transportation (especially the schedule for picking up guests at the airport and also bringing them there on their scheduled departure dates), final printing and reproduction of the missalette, briefing friends who will be tapped for specific tasks (games during the reception and whatnot), and other details that if I place here would be seen as too OC (especially by Eric -- Hi bro, we will miss you but we understand). Hopefully since we have the meeting two weeks before the wedding, we will have enough time to troubleshoot any situation that will be foreseen by the professionals (our vendors).

That's it for now. Time to try to get my rest na rin so that I will have enough energy and presence of mind to do my regular work and deal with wedding-related matters. As always, keep us in your prayers and thank you for all the prayers uttered for us. They have been and are a source of strength for Junby and myself. Salamat!
