Ticked off the 'To do' list...

Hi folks! I've been quiet I know in terms of posting but I've been nibbling on the different items on my 'to do' list for the wedding. First off, I've finally reserved the rooms we will use before the wedding (Junby and his best man, myself and my maid of honor). It'll be at Nature's.

Why there? Well I like Nature's because of the fact that trees abound in the area. I think I will need all the calming I'll need on the day of the wedding and nature has always been a natural stress buster for me. When I feel my world closing in, I hie off to the beach or to any wooded area and soak in the calm that nature's wonders brings.

Next, I'm already surfing and asking around for ideas for the wedding invitations. I'm seriously considering making our invitations myself (to help keep us within the budget :P). If any of you have tips and stuff, send them my way please :) I've also gone and booked tickets for when Junby is in town come September. I took advantage of PAL's buy one ticket and get two free tickets promo which is a real deal :)

I've already sent off our missalette to our celebrant, Fr Sean to go over and check each detail. Once he's done with it, will work with the Sir Nel Dingcong, the choirmaster for the liturgical songs to be used. :) So that's it for now. The other details are still being processed. Will post some more updates when I have something substantial to report. :) God bless to all!

Some progress...

Well folks, I've started submitting the necessary documents to the church. I've submitted most of it, even sent off to Junby's parish the documents needed to have marriage banns posted. There are still some pending documents like the ones from the US embassy but those will get submitted when Junby comes home on September.

We still haven't finalized the missalette although it's more or less done. Junby just needs to approve the stuff I've written so far. Next step will be to have it scrutinized by the priest who will join us in Holy Matrimony, Fr. Sean Coyle. Keep us in your prayers.

Sweet as sugar

Hi pips! Things are slooooowly falling into place. I finally checked on the cakes and folks, I like what I tasted. :) We decided to go with Anne Co's cakes and so last month I went to taste test her cakes. It was perfect. Since the cake will be using fondant icing, Ann suggested we use carrot-walnut cake since it's heavy enough to carry the weight of the fondant. Here's a snapshot of the cake I ate....

Hungry? :) I was...
